Admit it: the resolutions we made three weeks ago look a lot like those we made a year ago … if not five years ago. But, as this issue highlights every mid-January, wellness is about more than eating better and exercising. (Keep that up though, especially when in the care of cardiac rehab specialist Dr. Philip Ades.) Sometimes the best way to heal mind, body and soul is to slow down, as we learned at a new somatic movement studio in Montpelier. Some therapies get a little messy, like the slick ayurvedic treatment that soothed a writer in Stowe. Pot can be relaxing, too. Just be sure to partake safely — once it's legal. Meantime, you could meditate with THC's legal cousin, CBD. And when munchies strike, discover the healthful magic of miso.
