From the urbane to the outlandish, Scribbles offers something for everyone: from delicate notepaper to Instant Irish Accent Mouth Spray, which promises to “radically change the way you speak!” If that’s not a recipe for an award-winning boutique, we don’t know what is — and this year, Scribbles takes two. The Burlington shop, owned by Deb and Joe Jarecki, is a purchasers’ paradise. You can pick up a tasteful thank-you gift — say, a charming vintage bound notebook — and a campy Pig Shooter toy for your best friend, along with a card to suit any personality. Then you can choose from a colorful array of paper and ribbons to wrap your presents in. Scribbles also carries a huge selection of wedding invitations and customize-able stationery. Almost makes you want to give up email.
