Obituary: Priscilla Kennedy

Priscilla Norton Kennedy, a lifelong resident of North Bennington died September 17, 2015 in Bennington.

She was born March 11, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Ralph B. and Priscilla (Bromley) Norton. Priscilla graduated from North Bennington High School in 1948 and received a B.A. degree from Bennington College in 1952.

She married John Kennedy, Jr. in 1951. Mr. Kennedy died in 2011.

A dedicated volunteer, Mrs. Kennedy had served on the governing boards of United Counseling Service and the Bennington County Humane Society, as a grey lady at Putnam Memorial Hospital, and in the libraries of the Bennington Museum and the Arlington Russell Collection. For many years she volunteered at the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge in Florida.

Mrs. Kennedy was a longtime member of the Bennington Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Vermont Society of Mayflower Descendants.

She leaves a son, Norton and several cousins.

The services will be private, with burial at the Grandview Cemetery in North Bennington.
