- Dylan "Snow Bear" Airoldi
Dylan "Snow Bear" Airoldi, age 20 years, died unexpectedly Friday morning November 1, 2013, in the Northwestern Medical Center.
Born in St. Albans on August 20, 1993, he was the son of Paul and Janice (Bellrose) Airoldi. He received his early education at the Sheldon Elementary School, attended Bellows Free Academy-St Albans and in 2011, graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School. In high school he excelled in track and field and cross country. While in Middle School he played Steelers football and continued during his time at BFA as a Bobwhite.
With the assistance of his music mentor Aron Garceau, Dylan's passion for music inspired him to compose and perform many of his own compositions. He played many different instruments but was especially gifted playing the piano, the guitar, and singing. In 2010 he won the Missisquoi Valley Union High School Talent Show for his musical performance. His talent was truly an amazing gift.
Dylan was presently serving his country in the Vermont Army National Guard and had graduated in December of 2011 from Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, Paul and Janice Airoldi, Dylan leaves two sisters, Kaylynne and Maya; a step brother, Anthony and a step sister, Allyssa; also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Frank and Melody Bellrose; aunts and uncles, Lisa Hayden and husband Shawn; Sharon Bellrose; Daniel Airoldi and wife Jayne; Lena Airoldi; Lynne Airoldi; Herve Airoldi; and many cousins, Emily and Joshua Hayden; Katie and Meagan Jarvis; Dan and Robyn Airoldi; Josh and Lynne Airoldi; Luke Airoldi, Elisabeth and Joshua Smith, Alex, Ashley and Allyson Airoldi; Seth Goodhue and Bailey Airoldi. Extended family members include, Anthony and Claudia Severy, Rosalie, Joseph and Kalie, Eric and Krista Severy and Debra Ovitt and her husband. Dylan was so loved and will live on in the hearts of his family, as well as many, many friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Herve and Lise Airoldi, uncles, Allen and James Airoldi, and grandfather Douglas Severy.
A Funeral Service followed by full military honors will be held Wednesday November 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. from The Swanton Christian Church, Academy St., Swanton. Pastor Daniel Brueckner will officiate.
Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
