As temperatures begin to drop, our focus shifts to the indoors. And even if we resist turning on the furnace just yet, we can still warm up the décor. Fall Nest is here with suggestions from classical to contemporary to vintage and DIY. In a new book about Simon Pearce and his elegant handmade glassware, we’re reminded that form and function go beautifully on the dinner table. A tour of the Griffin family’s house in the North Ferrisburgh woods inspires us to de-clutter, and to rethink white walls. At new Burlington shop Deep 6, a talented designer remakes old objects as unique home goods. And all it took was paint to transform a bedroom into an awesome Batcave — making two little boys very happy.

Still renting? A rising apartment village in Burlington might inspire a move. Speaking of which, our House Hunt couple finally found their dream home and are now dreaming of decorating. Check out their sage advice for those still looking. Happy fall!
