7/12/08: "The Dark Knight" premiered in Montpelier Saturday, days before it's general release.

We have Vermont's own Dark Knight to thank for this rare event - US Senator Patrick Leahy who has a cameo in the film (watch clip).

Patrick Leahy grew up in Montpelier Vermont.  Blind in one eye, hespent much of his free time reading comics at the Kellogg-HubbardLibrary.

Years later, he is the library's favorite Superhero, donating proceedsfrom his Batman film appearances and this recentscreening of The Dark Knight.

Leahy sits down with the library's Comics Clubs to talk about Batman, "The Dark Knight," and why he loves reading.

Music: Space Tiger, Lapping Up the Milky Way
