10/29/16: A small group of witchy women from Feminists Against Trump — an offshoot of the Vermont Feminist Collaborative — gathered at the top of Church Street on Saturday afternoon in Burlington. Two local college professors organized the event to protest Donald Trump's language about women and to reclaim the negative perception of a "witch" or powerful woman. The march attracted a few witches and one pussycat as spectators joined in. Spells were cast in English and Spanish and slogans like "Nasty women, vote!" were chanted up and down the marketplace. And at the end of the "witch-in," two carved Trumpkins were smashed from the steps of City Hall.

Music: Kevin MacLeod, "I Knew a Guy" Bonnie Lockhart, Dreams, Drums & Green Thumbs, "Who Were the Witches"
