Sorry for the dearth of posts the last couple of weeks. I've been totally emersed in my new online editor job.

One of the things that's been keeping me busy is the new Seven Days email newsletter. We call it "NOW" (Notes on the Weekend). It's a short list of events that are happening in our circulation area over the weekend, and it includes things you might have missed in the paper and on our website. We started sending it out on Fridays, but we're switching to Thursday afternoons, to give people more time to make weekend plans.

If you want a copy of the newsletter to land in your inbox every week, go sign up on the Seven Days website. And let me know what you think. Here's a link to last week's issue.

From 2014-2020, Seven Days allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we've appreciated the suggestions and insights, right now Seven Days is prioritizing our core mission — producing high-quality, responsible local journalism — over moderating online debates between readers.

To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.

Online comments may return when we have better tech tools for managing them. Thanks for reading.
