This Saturday, downtown Montpelier is going to be flooded with vintage trailers. The second annual Vermont Vintage Trailer Show, organized by Steve Hingtgen of Vintage Trailer Supply and Jesse Jacobs of Montpelier Property Management, draws an eclectic mix of tow-along homes from the 1930s through ’70s. And while house snooping isn’t usually an encouraged activity, this congregation presents the exception. The trailers range from everyday campers to “really beautiful custom-work showpieces,” Hingtgen told Seven Days last year. Whether you’re thinking of buying or are just curious about life on the road, head to Montpelier this weekend to browse the amalgamation of alternative homes.
