The New York Times reports this morning that Vermont has more writers, per capita, than any other state. The finding emerged from a nationwide profile of professional artists compiled by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Of course, they were working from Census data, so they counted everyone who listed their job as "writer," which presumably includes people like me. I dunno. Am I really an artist?
Vermont also has a large number of fine artists, per capita. Good news for our creative economy?
