Having trouble tracking who's considering a run for Vermont's top offices next year? You're not the only one!

Since Gov. Peter Shumlin announced Monday that he won't seek a fourth term, more than a dozen politicos have expressed interest in replacing him. If two of the top prospects seek that seat — Congressman Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Lt. Gov. Phil Scott — their offices could open up, too. And then there's Attorney General Bill Sorrell, who may well retire after 18 years in office.

To keep things simple, Seven Days is doing you a solid: Rather than decide for yourself who to support, take our 2016 Candidate Generator for a spin. Click a button, and we'll tell you who to root for.
