Turidae Trio

When: Sun., June 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. 2014

“Turidae” family trio of Lisa Carlson (flute), and Mariah (harp and violin) and Clara Carlson-Kirigin (viola) will perform a mix of primarily Celtic and classical repertoire in a spirited performance – ranging from arrangements of Irish traditional tunes for flute, viola and harp, to classical repertoire including flute, violin and viola. Lisa has taught flute in Central Vermont since 1985, Mariah has most recently performed as principal second violin in the Vassar College Orchestra, and principal violin in select Vassar chamber groups, and Clara continues to expand her viola skills at Oberlin College, after playing principal viola in the All New England High School Festival Orchestra, All State Festival, and VYO in 2013. Lisa and her daughters and other colleagues are sought after throughout the state for music for weddings and occasions.
