When: Through Oct. 28
Beautiful, compositionally compelling and symbiotically entwined with human existence, trees make excellent photographic subjects. This group exhibition at Essex’s Darkroom Gallery pays tribute to our plant brethren, featuring dozens of images by national and international artists juried by South Carolina-based photographer Michael Pannier. Presented in collaboration with the Essex Junction Tree Committee, the show presents a range of creative approaches and species, from skyward California palm trees to the fractals of abstracted branches. Vermont artists included are Alan Brown, Ted Dinkel, Janet Labelle, Katrina Mojzesz and Peggy Reynolds.
