The boundary between the real world and a virtual realm where users can fulfill their sexual and romantic fantasies is blurred in The Nether, a haunting drama by Jennifer Haley. Set in the not-too-distant future, the play explores the dark side of the internet and raises the question of what constitutes a crime in a world of relative realities. “After the show, you will probably not feel like turning on your computer or cellphone,” writes the New York Times. Due to adult themes, kids under high school age are not admitted to this Waterbury Festival Playhouse production directed by Melissa Lourie.
