The Leatherbound Books

When: Sat., Dec. 17, 9 p.m. 2016

Burlington-based indie folk trio the Leatherbound Books blast a ray of light on the overcast days of winter. Their sunny disposition and homespun charm are matched by their pop mastery. Singer-songwriters Jackie Buttolph and Eric Daniels mingle their voices in bucolic harmonies over swells of giddy guitar. Even at their most forlorn, their songs remain easily digestible and irresistibly danceable — depending on the song, they may inspire a jig, a waltz or a slow dance. The band’s adorable 2015 EP, Tender My Hopes, will leave listeners wanting more. Luckily, its first full-length album drops in 2017. Catch the Leatherbound Books on Saturday, December 17, at Radio Bean in Burlington.
