If a car company can create a cutting-edge record label like Toyota did with Scion AV, then surely a corporation such as Panini Group, known for its collectable soccer trading cards and stickers, can sponsor a pop star. Such is the case with Italian-Eritrean singer Senhit. Following years performing in European stage productions of shows such as The Lion King and Hair, she moved into the pop sector after Panini made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. The multilingual chanteuse mainly bounces between R&B and disco inclinations, though her latest single, “Something on Your Mind,” takes a deep dive into the realm of acid house. Check out Senhit on Thursday, June 1, at Radio Bean in Burlington.
