Obituary: Walter Leeroy Morgan

Walter Leeroy Morgan, age 47 years, a longtime resident of Alburgh and more recently of the Fairfield Road in East Fairfield died tragically Saturday morning, December 5, 2015, in an All-Terrain Vehicle accident in Fairfax.

Born in St. Albans on, May 31, 1968, he was the son of Bruce Sr. and Beth Ann (Cook) Morgan. He attended Swanton schools and for a time was associated with Peerless Clothing in Georgia. Walter’s hobbies included four wheeling, snowmobiling, tractor pulls and hunting.

In addition to his parents, Bruce Sr., and Beth Ann Morgan of Alburgh, Walter leaves his children, Dakota Morgan of Milton, Sabrina Morgan of St. Albans, Onna Morgan of Milton and Sandy; his companion of 10 years, Josie Cushing and her sons, Matthew and Anthony Gillespie of East Fairfield; grandchildren, Gordon, Nickolas, Theya and Jaysha; his sisters, Wendy Marie Katon and husband Roy of Alburgh and Barbara Lynch and husband Todd of North Hero as well as many nieces and nephews.

Walter was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Morgan, Jr, on March 1, 2015.

A Graveside Funeral Service and Interment will be held, Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11 a.m. from the Morgan family lot in Riverside Cemetery. Maurice Gauthier will lead the service.

Gifts in Walter’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Kidder Memorial Home, Swanton, Vermont.
