Obituary: Richard Allen Campbell

Richard Allen Campbell, age 58 years, died early Thursday morning March 20, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer at his Middle Road residence with loving family at his side.

Born in Peru, NY he was the son of Marjorie Campbell. He attended Swanton Schools and on July 6, 1991, was married to the former Karen Bushey who predeceased him on April 10, 2013.

Prior to his illness Ricky was associated with Barry Callebaut USA, LLC of St. Albans. He loved going to the casinos and NASCAR races and enjoyed camping, Ford Mustangs and all kinds of mechanic work.

He leaves his mother, Marjorie LaFountain of Swanton; two daughters, Jennifer Freeman and husband Jack Jr. of Highgate and Tara Paquette of Swanton; two sons, Shawn Campbell and his wife Erin of Sheldon and Patrick Paquette of Swanton; four sisters, Brenda Leahy of Alabama, Lisa Gratton and husband Roy of Swanton, Kelly Bettis and Christina St. Pierre of Crown Point, NY and Michelle Dufresne and husband Critter of Swanton; a brother, Wayne Parizo and Serena of Highgate Springs; nine grandchildren, Troy, Alanna, Jordan, Danielle, Alyssa, Chandler, Abigail, Alyvia and Diva; his mother and father-in-law; Joyce and Jim Crannie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Brian Ward, Bill and Vickie Bushey, Nancy and Steve Houle, Jean and Lenny Elliott and Cecil and Beth Lockerby as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Thursday March 27, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6p.m. with The Reverend Anne Torrance Bachmann officiating.
