- Marguerite Therese Boulerice
Marguerite Therese Boulerice, age 80 years, died peacefully Tuesday evening February 11, 2014, at her County Road home in the arms of her loving husband Arthur.
Born in Ste. Remi, Quebec Canada on November 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Lucienne (DeRepentigny) Riendeau. She attended schools in Canada and also at the former St. Annes Academy in Swanton. On May 25, 1957, she was married to Arthur Gerard Boulerice who survives her. She was a longtime member of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Parish in St. Albans and the Women of the Moose, St. Albans Chapter 321.
In addition to her responsibilities as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marguerite along with her husband and family owned and operated a large dairy farm located on Swantons County road for many years. She loved her grandchildren and accepted and loved any child that needed a mother. Marguerite was a wonderful cook and will be especially remembered for her amazing pies. She is also remembered as a quiet and patient lady who never complained about anything.
Besides her husband Arthur of nearly 57 years, Marguerite leaves her seven children, Monique Smith and husband Allen of Rocky Mount, VA, Normand Boulerice living on the farm in Swanton, Muriel Gutierrez and husband Alex of Rollinsford, NH, Louise Ticehurst and husband Michael of Swanton, Maurice Boulerice and Robert Normandin of Milton, Lise Smith and husband Keith of Hoosick Falls, NY, and Allen Boulerice and his wife Greta of Swanton; grandchildren, Jonathan Smith and fiancée Laura Conner, Gabrielle and Rose Smith, Shawn Dumas and Samantha Miller, Hannah Dumas and fiancé Jason LaFlam, Maxwell Boulerice and Mack Smith; great grandson, Elijah Smith; three sisters, Lucille Choiniere and husband Fabio of St. Albans, Fernande Benjamin of Ft. Myers, FL and Michelle Riendeau of Apopka, FL; two brothers, Albin Riendeau and wife Suzie of Melbourne, FL and Gaston Riendeau and his wife Aline of Swanton; three sisters-in-law, Leona Pigeon of Burlington, Pauline Boulerice of St. Albans and Jeanne Begnoche of St Albans; a brother-in-law, Raymond Breton of Highgate Center and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday February 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. from Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 241 Lake St., St. Albans City. Father Maurice J. Roy will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place later in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
