Harriet A. Cobb, 95, of Burlington died at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2015 surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter.

She was born in Burlington on August 9, 1920 the daughter of Harry & Florence Johnson. She was the widow of Carl D. Cobb who predeceased her in 1999. Harriet had worked for Sealtest Ice Cream for 20 years as well as a waitress for Valade’s Restaurant for 10 years. She then went on to waitress at the Holiday in South Burlington for 25 years.

She is survived by her three children, Gerald L. Cobb of Georgia, VT, Bernard Cobb & wife Dale of Milton and Carla Cobb of Essex Jct.; grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher, Jason, Heather, Raina and a special granddaughter, Dawn Fletcher whose love & compassionate heart made Harriet’s life easier and more comfortable for the past seven years.. She also leaves two great-grandsons Tyler and Marcus Cormier and several nieces and nephews. Harriet was predeceased by a great-granddaughter Alexis Cormier, a brother, Robert Johnson, a sister Connie Tapley and by two nephews, Greg and B.J. Johnson.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington. Burial will follow in New Mount Calvary Cemetery. To send online condolences, please visit
