Nosh Around the Clock: A student guide to eating after hours

College isn’t just about lectures and libraries. The most memorable lessons of these crucial years are likely to be those learned far from the classroom. Sitting up late with one’s buds, huddled over the books, or whatever, expands a student’s mind and also produces… the munchies.

Finding food while the sun shines is usually a no-brainer, and in Burlington the fare is still plentiful ’round midnight. But if you attend school in Vermont’s more rural pockets, late-night hunger pangs can be a bummer. In Johnson, Lyndonville or Castleton, for example, we recommend dorm-room fridges or a stockpile of quarters for the vending machines. The only other edibles at that hour are still on the hoof.

No need to have a cow, though. Use the following handy guide to help you locate the comestibles you crave when your appetite for, uh, knowledge is working overtime.
