- Northfield, Vermont
Established in 1819, Norwich University is a small, private university with a balance of strong professional and liberal arts programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The university is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and is the Military College of Vermont. Approximately 1900 cadets, traditional students and commuters attend as undergraduates; graduate programs serve an additional 1000 students online. Norwich is known for its dedicated teaching faculty — its student-faculty ratio is 14 to 1. The Northfield campus, in the heart of the Green Mountains, is in one of the nation's most spectacular natural areas, offering outdoor opportunities year-round. The combination of quality professional education, broad studies in the liberal arts, dedicated faculty and the leadership laboratory supplied by the Corps of Cadets has produced a unique legacy. Norwich is a proud place that maintains deep bonds with its alumni long after graduation.
