A new climbing facility in Essex is going up. Opening in July, MetroRock Climbing Center boasts 5,500 square feet of bouldering terrain and 11,500 square feet of rope-climbing walls. The high-ropes course includes kid-friendly and adult obstacles that'll teach teams of all ages to work together as they test their limits. Harnesses ensure a safe experience for everyone on the rocks and in the rafters. Those who prefer to stay grounded can enjoy on-site workout rooms and yoga studios. MetroRock — which currently operates two climbing gyms in Massachusetts — will also host birthday parties and events. Rock on.
