On May 23, 1962, Martin Luther King Jr. spoke on the state of the civil rights movement at Dartmouth College as part of the school’s Great Issues curriculum. On the 60th anniversary of his father’s speech, Martin Luther King III gives his own address to students, locals and virtual audiences. Reflecting on his father’s legacy and the work still to be done in the fight for racial justice, King introduces the Dartmouth 2022 Social Justice Awards, which honor members of the college’s community who have shown exceptional devotion to activism.
