When: Mon., Sept. 5, 9 p.m. 2016
Los Angeles’ Mac Sabbath are the originators of a sub-sub-sub genre of heavy metal: drive-thru metal. The quartet, whose members include Ronald Osbourne, Slayer McCheese, Grimalice and Catburglar are, in essence, a parody of Black Sabbath as well as various other metal tropes. But the secret sauce is how they fry the genre with a veritable unhappy meal of songs about fast food. Equal parts GWAR, Weird Al Yankovic and Ronald McDonald, the band is every bit as filling — and greasy — as a dollar menu. Mac Sabbath play Club Metronome in Burlington this Monday, September 5, with Clownvis Presley and the ResERECTION of Garbage Dick, as part of the ongoing Metal Monday series.
