Low Cut Connie, Daniel Romano, Violette Ultraviolet

When: Sat., Dec. 13, 8 p.m. 2014

As the story goes, Adam Weiner was whiling away his youth and musical promise as the piano player in a New York City karaoke lounge. Fed up after a particularly irksome night, he phoned his British pal, Dan Finnemore, to start a band, and the rest is history. The duo moved to Philly and became one of the most promising garage bands in recent memory. Low Cut Connie boast a ragged, retro sound that Rolling Stone described as “what indie rock might sound like if it were invented in Alabama in the fifties.” Catch them at the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge in South Burlington this Saturday, December 13, with Daniel Romano and locals Violette Ultraviolet

Price: $8/10. AA
