OK, I'm going to wallow in my 15 minutes of digital fame, because no way, no how is my name ever again going to be mentioned in the same breath as that of designer Karl Lagerfeld. As my wife likes to point out, my biggest fashion statement of this century has been my reluctant dabbling in the use of "product" in my hair. (Gasp!) My fashion sense is about as undeveloped as my appreciation for poetry: It sure looks pretty, but most of the time I just don't get it.
But yesterday, Adam Tschorn of the L.A. Times posted this little number about his recent road trip to "Kaiser Karl's" Vermont castle in Grand Isle. Several local establishments got a nod in that piece, including Hen of the Wood, Hero's Welcome and Seven Days, for my recent interview with Joyce Lockerby, the Grand Isle drawbridge operator. Cool.
