Ice Storm Aftermath

Well, the ice storm officially killed my ice scraper.

After two days of letting my poor dying Volkswagen sit under layers of ice, I set to work cleaning it off so that I could bring it to my trusty repair-man. And that's when it happened.

My car's name is Yossarian, after one of my favorite books, Catch-22. My ice scraper was a gift from my very first boyfriend, and has always been secretly named Lieutenant General Scheisskopf as a reaction to our breakup. Well, much like our young love, Scheisskopf couldn't take the pressure of a real storm, and by the time Yossarian was finally ready to drive to the mechanic, the ice scraper was in pieces all over the driveway.

Let's hope the same fait doesn't await my car.
