My wife and I caught 2 shows on the waterfront this weekend, Mike Gordon on Friday and the Derek Trucks Band on Sunday. Both were great, but I was especially blown away by Derek on guitar.
I realize I'm behind the times here, this guy has been wowing audiences since coming on the music scene as a 12-year-old guitar prodigy playing for the Allman Brothers Band. I have to say he was the best guitarist I've seen in years and I see 50+ bands a year. His singer had laryngitis, which I think put even more emphasis on the music. What a great show.
Here are two pics, one of Derek and Grace Potter, who came out and sang late in the show, and one of the beautiful sunset.
