Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs

When: Wed., Sept. 26, 7:30 p.m.

British singer-songwriter Frank Turner weaves a history lesson and philosophical observations about post-Trump America into his song “Make America Great Again.” Appropriately, the album that spawned the tune, Be More Kind, touches on strategies for navigating the complex world of 2018. The folky pop artist has roots in defunct hardcore band Million Dead. That group’s legacy ripples through his solo work in the form of confrontational song structure and in-your-face lyrics. Catch Turner and his band, the Sleeping Souls, on Wednesday, September 26, at the Higher Ground Ballroom in South Burlington. Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs open.

Price: $27/30
