Erin Belieu’s literary résumé is an impressive one: award-winning poet; four poetry collections; instructor at Florida State University’s esteemed creative writing program; cofounder of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts. An astute observer, she addresses feminist issues in her work and with VIDA, which publishes an annual survey that identifies the rates of publication for male and female authors. As part of Women’s History Month, Belieu visits Johnson State College to read selected works and discuss the importance of women’s voices in a male-dominated field.
