Burlington Electric Department's electric car was just one of the fuel-friendly alternatives on display at the April 30 prelude to the second annual Way to Go Week. The May 3-7 event promotes getting to work on foot, bike or bus -- or staying home and telecommuting. Last year, more than 5000 participants saved nearly 10,000 gallons of gasoline. The event is organized by Chittenden County's Metropolitan Planning Organization and Transportation Authority, Lake Champlain Committee, Local Motion and the Alliance for Climate Action 10% Challenge.
