The Burlington Wine & Food Festival kicks off its weeklong edible extravaganza with a new event that explores the connections between wines and scent. Bartenders will match vinous flights with Alice & the Magician Cocktail Apothecary's edible perfumes, helping drinkers pinpoint the wines' olfactory idiosyncrasies. A glass of Beaujolais, say, might be misted with orange to highlight the red's citrusy notes, while a spritz of apricot or peach could bring out flavors of sun-ripened stone fruit in a pale-pink sip of rosé.
