When the members of the award-winning band Darlingside met at Williams College in Massachusetts, they brought a broad array of musical backgrounds to the table, ranging from choral singing and chamber music to Celtic session playing and street busking. These days, the Boston-based foursome places its vocal harmonies at the forefront of Americana songs peppered with components of folk, bluegrass, classical music and indie rock. Dave Senft, Don Mitchell, Auyon Mukharji and Harris Paseltiner gather ’round a single microphone to serve up songs from 2015’s Birds Say. Montpelier singer-songwriter Kris Gruen opens.
