Christopher Scheer: 'In Defense of Pleasure — A Clown Play for Adult Audiences'

When: Tue., Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m. and Wed., Oct. 19, 7:30 p.m. 2016

Christopher Scheer wants you to know that clowns don’t always wear big shoes and crazy wigs, and they aren’t just for kids. Scheer captivates audiences with a more contemporary and understated version of the classic comic entertainment: His clip reel shows him as shaggy-haired millennial in motorcycle boots — and a red nose. The funnyman invites viewers into his world during workshop performances of his new interactive project, In Defense of Pleasure — A Clown Play for Adult Audiences, in which he bounces between magic tricks and not-entirely-appropriate tales of his time as a children’s magician and birthday clown in New York City.

Price: $10.
