Comiskey's summary: The book begins when the little boy's mama catches him "paintin' pictures on the floor/and the ceiling/and the walls/and the curtains/and the door." She takes his paint away and cleans him up. Once she's gone, he works on getting the paint back and then paints himself in creative ways.

Why kids will enjoy it: With each turn of page, children are delighted to find out what the main character paints next, and it's easy for them to predict the rhyming word coming up. The part that always generates giggles: "I'm such a nut, gonna paint my ... WHAT?"

Why parents will love it: This is a book that you can read again and again without growing tired of the story.
