ALMOST FAMOUS
What can we say about Grace Potter & The Nocturnals that Vermonters don’t already know? For the third time, our major-label darlings have grabbed the prize for Best Vermont Band, having assumed the mantle of the late, great Phish (who continued to win the award two years after their breakup and were runners-up this year!). In fact, the only real threat to a Nocturnal three-peat was the Phab Phour’s widely rumored — but as yet unconfirmed — reunion.
In the meantime, Grace and her merry band of minstrels will content themselves traversing the country with the likes of The Black Crowes and Gov’t Mule and cozying up to Jay Leno. Such is the price of . . . well, you know.
