Can a little girl inspire a U.S. president to restore the country’s economy? On the Lyric Theatre stage, she can. In the company’s third production of the musical Annie, 11-year-old orphan Annie goes in search of her parents and befriends a billionaire and president Franklin D. Roosevelt along the way. Lyric spices up the 1977 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical with video projection and fast-moving scenes. In a Lyric video, Hinesburg’s Stephanie Miskavage, who plays Annie, proclaims, “The music is great and the lines are funny.” Fans might recognize songs such as “Tomorrow” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life” in this production featuring 35 people, three dogs and endless enthusiasm.

Price: $24-42.
