The Marigolds are a multi-genre band with influences firmly rooted in early Crazy Horse era Neil Young and mid seventies Bob Dylan, but their heart lies in psychedelic and garage rock similar to The Velvet Underground and The Clash. The band has spent the last two years surprising local bar crowds with their impressive library of original songs and unexpected covers of classic rock songs. On stage, the band as a whole becomes much more than the sum of its parts; a combination of unbridled energy and attractive stage presence gives them the rare and natural ability to make an unsuspecting audience pause mid conversation to stop, watch, listen... and DANCE! The Marigolds recorded their first independent album, City Alone, at Gradwell House Recording Studio in the Summer of 2005. A year later, they released their second, full length disc, BUFFALO!, recorded and produced by Dr. Brian Arnold at his home-studio in Clarence, New York. The Marigolds plan to return to the studio in Burlington,Vermont in January, 2007. They are currently playing shows up and down the East Coast.
