William R. (Bill) Peck Jr, 89, of Colchester died peacefully Saturday, November 14, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (Bove); loving father of Stephen (Michele), William III and Charles. Dear grandfather of Karen Peck, Deborah Halsey (Christopher), James Peck (Sydney), Georgia Williams, and Stephen Peck (Alison), Rachel Pastormerlo (Matthew) and Sarah Peck (Garrett Nuzum). Proud great-grandfather of Alexander Peck. Brother-in-law to Jean Marceau. Dedicated Uncle to Eileen Gerelli (Gino), Art Monaghan, Cathy Remillard (Moe), Stewart/Buddy Marceau (Linda), Bobby Marceau, Theresa Ashline, and great-uncle to Tyson Monaghan, Matthew Monaghan and Jessica Tatro.

Born March 5, 1926 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, son of William R. and Mary Margaret (McGinty) Peck. A World War II veteran where he served aboard the USS Los Angeles. After graduating from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, Bill worked for AT&T for 35 years and Sears for 10 years. He was a lifelong golfer and member of the Burlington Country Club and parishioner of Holy Cross Church of Colchester. A dedicated volunteer driver for the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired; always inspired by the people he drove, their optimism, enthusiasm and joy of life.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Ready Funeral Home, 68 Pinecrest Drive Essex Junction, Vermont. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11 AM in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow immediately after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired or to the Alzheimer's Association in Bill’s name would be appreciated.
