Susan Lee Shaw, born on Dec. 22, 1950 in Plattsburgh, NY passed away at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT on Aug. 8, 2019 after a short illness.

She is survived by her sister Mary Hopkins of New York City. She leaves behind family and friends.

She joins her deceased parents Julia Elizabeth Conroy and Robert Russell Shaw.

Susan graduated form Albany Business College and worked as an LPN at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. She moved to Houston, Texas and worked at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center for several years, until she came to Vermont in 1994.

Her special interests were classic movies, World War I, and movie stars. She was artistic and could draw well. She loved her cats, Josssette and Henri, who were like her children. She loved looking at kittens online. Susan was a shy person, but once you got to know her she opened up. She was very honest; she also said she was very practical. Her energy came to life whenever there was a passion.

She had a kind heart and will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at the Howard Cremation Garden in Lakeview Cemetery, 455 North Ave., Burlington on Sept. 17, 2019 at 1 p.m.

Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
