- Roderick Alfred Daignault
Roderick Alfred Daignault, age 77 years, a longtime resident of the Church Road in West Swanton, died early Friday evening, July 29, 2016, in the Franklin County Rehab Center with loving family by his side.
Born in Richford, on June 5, 1939, he was the son of the late Hector and Alice (Boulé) Daignault. He attended schools in Richford and Trade School in Brattleboro where he earned an Associate Degree. On June 30, 1973 he was married to the former Cecile (Pet) Dubois who survives him.
Roderick was associated with Union Carbide in St. Albans as a millwright for many years. He loved woodworking, gardening and in general just building things.
In addition to his wife Pet, Roderick leaves his son, Kris Daignault and stepson, Kevin Daignault all of Swanton; brother, John Daignault (deceased) wife Janet, nieces, Johnna and Kathy; nephew, George (deceased) and Michael; Sister, Georgette Yull of Boston; nieces, Micki, Monique and Elise (deceased); nephew Grant all of Boston; cousins, Andre Daignault and wife Joanne of Richford and Yolland of Cowansville and a sister-in-law, Lucille Bernadet of South Burlington.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, John Daignault.
We would like to say a special Thank You to the Northwestern Medical Center, as well as the folks at the Franklin County Rehab Center, both in St. Albans. We could not have asked for more compassion, support and excellent care.
At Rodericks request there will be no public calling hours and funeral services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
