Porter “Kojak” Hodgdon, Jr., age 39 years, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 25, 2016, at Northwestern Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born in St. Albans on, April 14, 1977, he was the son of Porter Sr. and Donna L. (Cowdrey) Hodgdon. He attended Missisquoi Valley Union High School and on, April 21, 1998, married Jolene Robin Amaral. On March 12, 2001 they welcomed a baby girl Taylor.

Kojak loved anything to do with truck driving and was associated with the family business, Hodgdon Brothers and Sons, Inc. for all of his working life. In his youth he enjoyed hockey and later loved anything to do with the outdoors including four wheeling, riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling and camping. He also enjoyed trips to the casino with his dad.

He leaves his daughter, Taylor Marie; his mother and father, Porter and Donna L. Hodgdon; two sisters, Cindy Morris and her husband Dick and Mary Hodgdon all of Swanton; four brothers, George Gould, Jr., of Reading, Scott Gould of Ludlow, Brian Pion and companion, Rebecca Brothers of St. Albans and Jason Hodgdon and his wife Sharae of Swanton as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kojak was predeceased by a son, Cody on March 16, 1998; his wife, Jolene, December 16, 2004, a brother, Elmer Hodgdon and his wife Donna M. ; maternal grandparents, Eldred and Jennie Cowdrey and paternal grandparents, Porter and Reba Hodgdon.

Funeral Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Kidder Memorial Home, Swanton, VT.
