• Phyllis C. Young

Mrs. Phyllis C. Young, age 91, passed away Thursday morning, October 20, 2016 in the Northwestern Medical Center. She was born in Montreal, Quebec on July 9, 1925, daughter of the late James and Annie (Appleton) Matthew. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She married Kenneth Young in Montreal. Mr. Young predeceased her in 1972. Phyllis enjoyed socializing, especially with the Red Hat Ladies and friends and family. She also enjoyed cruises and gardening.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Eric D. Young of Melbourne, FL, and Brian D. Young and his wife Maureen of Jonesboro, GA, her three grandchildren, Nicole Thornton, Abby-Ann Young, and Darrell Young, her two great-grandsons Jared and Justin Thornton, and her companion for many years Howard Chandler.

The family will receive condolences Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans, from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will follow on October 26, 2016 in the Young family lot in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Quebec.
