Obituary: Clinton "Calhoun" Deo

Clinton "Calhoun" Deo, age 88 years, a lifelong resident of the Isle La Motte Community, died from natural causes Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the Northwestern Medical Center.

Born at home in Isle La Motte, he was the son of the late Minnie Bushway. He attended schools in Isle La Motte and on August 19, 1949, was married to the former Elaine Griggs who predeceased him on March 8, 2000. Mr. Deo owned and operated a dairy and beef farm on the island for most all of his working life. In earlier years he had also worked for the Isle La Motte Quarry.

He is survived by his daughter, Totyona (Deo) Hall; his son, Wayne Deo; former daughter-in-law, Dinah Deo; grandson, William (Bill) Deo; granddaughters, Tamara (Hall) Washburn and Rebecca Hall and a great grandson, Aiden Washburn.

At Mr. Deo's request there will be no public visiting hours or funeral at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Kidder Memorial Home, Swanton 05488.
