- Albert Joseph Kirouac, Jr.
Albert Joseph Kirouac, Jr. a lifelong resident of Franklin County passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at his home.
Born on March 24, 1963, in St. Albans, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Berniece (Provost) Kirouac. Albert was 53 years old.
He graduated from Bellows Free Academy and furthered his education at Vermont Technical College and received an Associate Degree in Business from Community College of Vermont in 1996. He was a long time employee as a boiler operator at Perrigo Vermont in Georgia. Albert was a devoted father and his children were the center of his life. He loved sports and coached several girls and boys middle school sports teams, including his daughters (softball/soccer/basketball) and sons (baseball/soccer) and supported his sons love of hockey. Albert was an avid Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR and local stock car racing fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Katelynn (companion, Matthew McDonald) of Georgia; son Hunter of Sheldon; his two sisters, Anita Brown (spouse, Donald) of Plainfield, NH and Karen Gonyeau of Georgia. His nieces and nephews are Charlotte (Brown) (spouse, Jason) Beaton of Enfield, NH; Aaron Brown of Plainfield, NH; Christopher Gonyeau (spouse, Heather) of Georgia; and Heather Gonyeau (partner, Ed Putzier) of St. Albans, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by Allen Robtoy, whom he considered a supportive, dear friend and several very close friends.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a brother, Brian; brother-in-law, Gary Gonyeau; and Special Parents, Margaret and Arnold Pelkey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
A funeral service will then be held in the Heald Chapel at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy officiating. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
