Chances are your family's been snowed in for several days, so you're probably itching to get out and about. Luckily, there's no shortage of fun to be had this weekend.

March is all about maple. On Saturday morning, visit Rock Point School in Burlington for its annual 5K Maple Run and Brunch. You'll get some exercise, enjoy good eats and support the school's sugaring program (which Kids VT wrote about in our March issue).

In Ferrisburgh, Dakin Farm celebrates syrup with Sugar-on-Snow parties on Saturday and Sunday featuring pancake breakfasts, sap-boiling demos and live music.

On Saturday, family fun days in MontpelierMorrisville and St. Johnsbury offer up kids' entertainment, crafts, activities and more.

In Hanover, N.H., Center City Ballet performs the classic fairytale Cinderella as part of the HopStop Family Series, a monthly Saturday morning program.

At the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington, the Irish Heritage Festival highlights Celtic culture with traditional tales, crafts and a musical instrument "petting zoo" on Saturday morning.

Shelburne Museum celebrates the Muppets with sock-puppet-making and a movie screening on Saturday afternoon.

At the Barre Opera House on Sunday afternoon, the Vermont Philharmonic and the Green Mountain Youth Symphony team up for a family concert featuring a narrated performance of Peter and the Wolf.
