3/22/17: In late 2011, Polly Lynn and Jason Mikula took over The Mountain Times, a free weekly newspaper in Killington. Fighting the national trend of larger papers that were downsizing and folding, this young couple embraced their community paper and its multiple publications.

Polly is a fifth-generation newspaper publisher and her family runs a small empire of Vermont newspapers. In the last five years, Polly and Jason have increased their revenue by 23 percent while strengthening their connections with local readers and businesses in this small resort town which attracts over 20,000 visitors to its slopes on a busy weekend.

We followed the recently married pair as they visited with friends and advertisers and took an afternoon ski break before heading back to work.
