Philip Baruth's online investigation of Brian Dubie at Vermont Daily Briefing turns up some oddments. Dubie is merely a few clicks away from deeply weird rap lyrics, courtesy of the "kid" section of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's website.

"FEMA for Kids is, as you might imagine, bizarro," writes Baruth. "There is the 'FEMA Rap for Kidz' which some crack political appointee seems to have designed to reach inner city youth."

But we’ve got a few tips, so you can be prepared
For floods, tornadoes, or even a ‘quake,
You’ve got to be ready - so your heart don’t break.

My only complaint about Baruth's post is that he doesn't include any of the links. What gives?  I'm putting it in here because you simply have to go there and listen to this rap. Yes, listen. If you've got a real audio player, you can hear this 50 second track. You oughtta hear it — your tax dollars paid for it!

 And get this — you can actually order free stuff from the FEMA kids website, like a disaster preparedness coloring book, and a brochure called "Tsunami! The Great Waves of the West Coast."

I hear those make great stocking stuffers.
