This blog has only two posts, but I'm writing about it because it's worth looking at even if nothing else ever gets posted. The site is called UVM BARF. The vomitous acronym stands for "Blog about Residential Food." There are four authors listed. In their first post, they write:
Tired of the high price and low quality of food at UVM? Join UVM BARF -the Blog About Residential Food We're trying to creat dialogue aboutthe food at UVM, including Sodexho's monopoly, the lack of local food, the high cost of the meal plan and anything else you can think of. Wehope that this blog can help organize the people that are affected bythe University's food policies. Feel free to post your thoughts. We think the food here sucks and we want to do something about it!
I must admit, I'm somewhat disappointed that they're so earnest. On the other hand, I'm impressed that they're utilizing this medium to foment dissent. It'll be interesting to see if anything happens with this. Thanks, Z, for the tip.

Since 2014, Seven Days has allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we’ve appreciated the suggestions and insights, the time has come to shut them down — at least temporarily.
While we champion free speech, facts are a matter of life and death during the coronavirus pandemic, and right now Seven Days is prioritizing the production of responsible journalism over moderating online debates between readers.
To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor. Or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.
Online comments may return when we have better tech tools for managing them. Thanks for reading.
